As the roof on a nest box is most exposed to the elements, it will always be the first, and often only, part of a nest box that will be weathered beyond its usefulness. That is why Bird Dwellings has a Roof Replacement Program. This program means if the roof on your Bird Dwellings nest box needs to be retired, you can order a new one and extend the life of your nest box.

Your new roof will have all the features a new nest box would have on its roof:

All nest box roof features (except the Northern Flicker Nesting Box roof*):

  • Drip grooves on all three exposed sides
  • Fully sealed
  • Screwed and calked to the body

*The Northern Flicker Nesting Box roof has different features than other nest box roofs:

  • Drip grooves on all three exposed sides
  • Fully sealed
  • Roof screwed to the hinges, not the body
  • Roof cannot be calked to the body because it hinges open

**The Bird Dwellings Roof Replacement Program has some additional requirements from the regular Selling requirements**:

  1. You must be able to bring your nest box to my house in west Edmonton (I will tell you my address in the confirmation email after you order). This ensures I can make your new roof as high quality as possible.
  2. You cannot purchase roofs for Bird Box Plans
